April 15 marks the 100th anniversary of the Titanic sinking, and now you can follow the Titanic in real time as if Twitter were around in 1912.
@TitanicRealTime seems to belong to The History Press, a history book publishing company based out of the U.K. The first tweet was sent out this past Saturday, March 10 – exactly one month before the Titanic journey begins … err, began. Right now tweets consist of little vignettes from the perspective of the ships engineers, officers and crew. As of today, @TitanicRealTime has 21,911 followers and has only tweeted 11 times. I am excited to see how this story unfolds on Twitter, and especially how it interacts with it’s “new-age” followers.
